ABSTRACT

This interactive session examines how contemporary Italian both reflects and shapes social views on gender. Drawing on current linguistic research and public debate, participants will explore the relationship between language, power and representation. The workshop will also introduce a range of strategies and practical ideas for addressing gender and language in the classroom.
