Session 3. 12:00 noon. Simmonds
This session looks at the progression of skills that we see when students are learning a language and how to support students to move to the next level. This includes identifying the steps in a rubric showing skill progression, developing student self-awareness of own skills, and a focus on feedback to students (and parents) for improvement and development. Skill progressions encourage student accountability for learning, reduce time for teachers, provide effective feedback on which students can act and are proven across educational research to lead to increase in skill development.
