ABSTRACT
These two hands on and practical sessions for secondary teachers, 7 – 10, will focus on:
- Key elements of the revised Victorian Curriculum, Version 2.0
- Macro skills in the curriculum
- Reviewing curriculum unit outlines, available resources and other useful materials for teachers
- Skills practice in planning and developing a unit of work.
Participants are kindly requested to have a copy of The Victorian Curriculum, F – 10, Version 2.0 with them and are also asked to attend both sessions.
BIO
Terri Di Battista and Maria Dikaiou
Terri Di Battista has been working in education for over 30 years. She is a trained Secondary Teacher, VET Trainer and Assessor, and Project Manager. She has managed over 40 VCE studies through curriculum design, examination development and assessment. She has trained over 1000 assessors annually. Terri has worked on many projects in education both locally and nationally.
As an educator, Terri is excited and passionate about teaching and learning, connecting with teachers and students, creating a positive and memorable learning experience through teaching, mentoring and coaching.
Maria Dikaiou has a career in education spanning more than 30 years.
Maria has taught, managed and led programmes and schools, in Australia and abroad, across all sectors of education – primary, secondary and tertiary and has been awarded and recognised for her services to the education community.
Maria is also a published author. She is currently involved in curriculum development as well as in teacher professional development and learning.
Maria, also like Terri, believes it is important to share knowledge and experience whilst supporting our current and next generation of teachers through teaching, coaching and mentoring.
